2026 Hyundai Elantra Trim Guide

Five trims make up the gas-only 2026 Hyundai Elantra lineup, each aimed at a different kind of daily driver. Lester Glenn Hyundai of Toms River put together this guide so you can see exactly what separates one trim from the next before you decide. From the efficient SE to the performance-oriented N Line, here's what you gain as you move up the lineup.

2026 Hyundai Elantra SE exterior standard trim features

SE: Covering the Essentials

With the 2026 Hyundai Elantra SE, you get a 147-horsepower 2.0-liter engine paired with an Intelligent Variable Transmission, tuned for smooth, efficient daily driving. Hyundai SmartSense® safety technology and the standard infotainment display with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ come standard, giving you the essentials without add-ons you don't need. Specific standard equipment includes 15-inch alloy wheels, LED projector headlights, an 8-inch color touchscreen display, and dual front and rear USB charging ports.

SEL Sport: Adding Style to a Proven Powertrain

The 2026 Hyundai Elantra SEL Sport carries over the same 147-horsepower 2.0-liter engine and Intelligent Variable Transmission from the SE, then layers on sportier design details and extra convenience features. You'll notice the difference in the cabin and on the exterior before you even start the engine. Compared with the SE, the SEL Sport adds gloss-black 17-inch alloy wheels, a gloss-black rear spoiler, an H-Tex® leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, aluminum pedals, Proximity Key® with push button start, and wireless device charging.

SEL Sport Premium: More Tech and Comfort

The SEL Sport Premium builds on SEL Sport with additional technology and comfort equipment, all while keeping that same 147-horsepower engine. This new Hyundai model gives you a higher-content midrange option without moving into the turbocharged N Line powertrain. Moving up from the SEL Sport adds heated front seats, a power sunroof, and Smart Cruise Control® (SCC) with Stop & Go.

2026 Hyundai Elantra N Line Performance

N Line: Turbocharged Fun

Performance aficionados will enjoy the 2026 Hyundai Elantra N Line, which switches to a 201-horsepower 1.6-liter turbocharged engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the sportiest powertrain in the lineup. N Line-specific appearance and handling details set this trim apart from the rest, giving you a noticeably different driving character than the trims below it. N Line-specific upgrades include 18-inch N Line alloy wheels, a multi-link independent rear suspension, N Line sport seats, and a chrome twin-tip exhaust.

2026 Hyundai Elantra Limited interior cabin with 10.25-inch navigation touchscreen and digital cluster

Limited: A Cabin Designed to Spoil You

The 2026 Hyundai Elantra Limited returns to the 147-horsepower 2.0-liter engine and adds the most upscale non-performance equipment in the gas lineup, including the richest cabin, technology, and driver-assistance content available. If comfort and technology matter more to you than outright performance, this is where the lineup peaks. Compared with the SEL Sport Premium, the Limited adds a 10.25-inch touchscreen navigation system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, Bose® Premium Audio, H-Tex® trimmed seats, and Highway Driving Assist (HDA).
